Weathervane
Dublin Core
Title
Weathervane
Description
1990? Copper, brass, and wood weathervane artpiece. The rabbit is copper, 14" x 5½". The turtle is brass, 5" x 2½". They are mounted on a wooden peg, and the peg is mounted on a wooden base. A brass plate on the base is marked "Tortoise and the Hare, Aesop, Circa 600 B.C." $16.50 from Donna Peterson, Puta Gorda, FL, March, '01.
Here is a contender for the most surprising find in this collection! It is not really a weathervane, but an art-object after the fashion of a weathervane. Future critics should ponder why one piece is copper and the other brass. Click on the image to see an enlarged version.
