Abstract: en_US This booklet is one of twelve published by Rekos in Greek, apparently upon the designs done by Susaeta for a European-language edition. Its sixteen pages display excellent and lively colored illustrations. This twelfth of the twelve books may get the prize for human facial expression. The boy shows first heavy boredom, then -- twice -- arrogant mockery, then terrified surprise, absolute desperation, and finally abject sorrow. In the last picture he is virtually surrounded by dead sheep. Well done!
