- Abstract
- en_US This seems to be a different kind of publication from "Deux Coqs d'Or." This collection has thirteen of their booklets, but nothing that seems to compare to this 1965 publication that acknowledges Western Publishing Company and is in the group " Petits Livres d'or." The fable here is done in prose, and that fact is already surprising in a French fable booklet. The title-page has a surprising image of a large bird writing the fable on a tree stump with feather and ink. We should be ready for some surprises in this version of LM. Kouip the mouse lands on the mane of Lionel the lion during his siesta. The key word in their exchange may be "drole": "You are a funny little mouse! Go, before I change my mind!" This is a stapled book of (unpaginated) 16 pages.
