- Abstract
- en_US Fables are mentioned in this overview of the tradition of nonsense for children first in the "capsule history," where fables have their own section (13-14). Fables are mentioned again in the short section "Animals All Mixed Up" (147), a part of the chapter on nonsense creatures. Again on 185-186, there is a section on "Illustrating Fables." This section mentions Caldecott, Gorey, and Bennett. Withdrawn from the Learning Resource Center at the University of North Alabama.
