Abstract: en_US The subtitle reads "Illustration Versions of the Kalilah wa Dimnah, Anvar -iSuhayli, Iyar-I Danish, and Humayun Nameh." This large-format (9½" x 12½") magazine has some 83 pages, with extensive advertising sections before and after. It offers several scholarly articles on the manuscripts of these prominent fable collections and especially their illustrations. The presentation of the latter is impressive, both in color and in black-and-white. There are many illustrations here that I did not know exist for the basic stories of the Pancatantra, many of them presented as part of the advertisements at the beginning and end of this magazine issue. Who would have known that a resource like this existed?
