- Abstract
- en_US Here is a rather typical Japanese paperback rendering of Aesop's fables. The beginning T of C has a nice repeated parade of characters at the page bottom. Many pages are illustrated with black-and-white line drawings. The hunter running away from an ant-bite on 33 is lively! The dog in DS on 47 is all in! Often the drawings on facing pages complement each other as do the swimmers and then the victims in FM on 74 and 75. The colored cover image of SW is well echoed in the text on 115. We might at first miss the second traveler hiding in the tree in TB on 140. 194 pages.
