- Abstract
- en_US Here is a 32-page print-upon-demand book about 8½" square with French prose texts on the left hand page and full-page colored illustrations on the right. The art seems to be a sort of claymation. We walk from spring through summer and fall listening to dialogue between the cicada and the ant. The ant regularly speaks of having played yesterday or being available to play tomorrow. The grasshopper repeats many times over "I"ll start preparations tomorrow. The finish does not include "Go dance!" but it does have a clear lesson from the ant to the cicada: "Il ne faut pas oublier de travailler!" The art has nice touches, like making sunglasses the mark of summer, even on the bees. Winter includes making a snowman.
