- Abstract
- en_US The cover proclaims loudly that this is a Walt Disney book. And the illustrations are straight from Disney's presentation of TH. I notice these two changes. First, the signs and other letterings within the illustrations are all in Spanish. Thus, on the title page, the hare wears a shirt "Sacha: 'Cinta Azul.'" Secondly, all the illustrations except the multi-colored outside covers, are crudely monochromed. Thus the poorly calibrated blue coloring for introducing Sacha on 9 makes the picture nearly illegible. Poor Juana -- yes, the tortoise is feminine -- seems outmatched. The illustrations include Sacha's ability to shoot an arrow and then be at the target to watch it land. His baseball and tennis exploits for the girls are also illustrated. Juana's robe, we can see at the end, features the motto "Lenta pero segura." Among the best calibrated illustrations are the endpapers and inside covers. I take Christian's word for it that this is a very rare book.
