Abstract: en_US This is a simple small-format book of fables for children. As the T of C on 7 makes clear, there are twenty fables on 52 pages. Do the endpapers depict the Saint Petersburg of Krylov's day? Each fable gets from one to four pages, with illustrations on virtually every page. My prize goes to FG, where the vixen is trying to reach the grapes with an umbrella (52)! This is a very pleasant little book with FC (and a travelling hedgehog) on the cover.
