- en_US This book replicates but is in considerably better condition than a copy bought in 1996 and likewise without a dust-jacket. To keep it distinct, I give this book a new ID number. Thurber's work is so seminal that I am happy to keep an extra copy within the collection. As I wrote of the two copies gathered under one ID number there -- one with and the other without a dust jacket -- this book replicates the original 1940 edition by Harper; see my comments there. Though there is a small chip on the spine of this copy, it still has most of its spine, while that copy does not. Internally clean. Ex libris Jane E. Watkins.
