Abstract: en_US Bodemann #277.8. I am particularly happy to find Bodemann's listing because, in the absence of a printed publication date in the book, I could not be sure what anniversary this publication celebrated. Like its companion (Fünfzig Fabeln für Kinder), this is a fragile little landscape-formatted booklet 6 x 5¼. The standard images and verses, numbered together one story to a page, are followed by a twenty-two-page appendix of poetry and prayers. The illustrations are well preserved. Perhaps that helps to explain why I was ready to pay so much for these booklets!
