- Abstract
- en_US Here is the German version of the book written by Louis Untermeyer and published by Golden Press a year earlier in the USA. This version follows the original down to the pagination of each fable. As I write there, this is one of my favorite books of fables. The makeup of the book is lovely and lively, with little signs and comments along the way. The star of the show is the dog in the water on 39 who answers Und jetzt hat keiner was. This version uses the American dust-jacket for its cover and uses the American cover for its end-papers.
