- Abstract
- en_US Here is an individual volume found in a random hunt in a second-hand store. Excellent condition. Though the publisher has changed, there seems to be little change from the latest edition I had of this book from 1931. The original set was published in 1920, but it underwent serious revision by 1931. The illustrations are marked by a great variety of styles. There is one fable in this volume, with its own apt illustration: "The Mice" (still on 131) from the Winnebago. This is a good story about the mouse who lived in a log and thought he could touch the sky. "Throughout the world, Who is there like little me?"
