- en_US This 8 x 11 pamphlet may set a record in this collection for least publication information! We see here a very pleasing green and gray cover, with some of the gray figures faded. There are twenty-nine fables with some thirteen black-and-white illustrations by a Joe Burton (often signed JB). My prizes here go to the illustrations for The Rats and the Egg and The Schoolmaster and His Pupil. There is also one illustration, of the monkey weighing the cats' cheese, by Ernst Griset. The back cover features the heron and some fish. Many at least of the shorter fable texts come from James.
