- Abstract
- en_US Jip crosses the log on a pond on his way home to eat a ham-bone he has found. He looks into the pond and sees a ham-bone five times as big as his. At this point the story is told differently. When he has lost his bone, Jip gets angry with the dog in the pond for stealing his bone and waits for the water to grow still. He barks to scare the dog he sees in the pond, but that dog has lost his bone too. He promises that the next time he will be content with his own bone.
