- Abstract
- en_US See my other Caxton Edition copies from 1884 and 1885. 288 pages, including fables and an AI, as in all Belford copies. No advertisements at the back. The illustrations here are typically ink-heavy and have bled. The cover design has changed to include a quotation from Carlyle: May blessings be upon the head of Cadmus, the Phoenicians, or whoever it was that invented books. Inscribed in 1886 and again in 1959.
