Abstract

en_US Six Aesopic fables again well told for children. The pattern continues: fable, moral, comments, retelling, activity. Again, the texts are very suitable for telling the fables to children. Generally, the fable itself ends with a question that leads directly into the moral. I continue to see problems in the author's handling of morals and comments. The moral of FS is Some people think one good trick deserves another (10). 2P leads to Those with much in common make best friends.... Remember also, that you may be friendly to everyone, no matter how different each may be. Every person has a purpose and all may live and work in the same world (14). What? The Young Goat and the Wolf leads to Don't say anything you wouldn't say anywhere at any time (20). I am not sure of the value of that advice. Again, there is a simple Land of Aesop centerfold featuring the characters of this volume's stories.
