- Abstract
- en_US There are two stories in this 40-page pamphlet, with frequent spirited colored illustrations: MSA and TMCM. The cover illustration of MSA is excellent! Laughing women point to the rustic threesome. Each phase is pictured well, starting with the father lovingly hoisting his small son onto the beast. The emphasis in the "carrying" illustration is on the smiles of the spectators by contrast with the sweat of father, son, and beast. The picturing of the fall over the side of the bridge is wonderfully active. The cat in the city is huge and aggressive. The final image of TMCM is charming: the country mouse sits, maybe sleeping, with a slightly nibbled ear of corn. One of four pamphlets in a series. 5¼" x 7¾ ".
