- Abstract
- en_US "For Pleasure, Pastime and Profit." Among the other articles and features in this 20-page magazine is a five-column article "Aesop's Fables" by Ruth W. Wilson. The article is announced on the cover together with a monochrome image of a FS button. There is also an illustration of a FC button inside the article. The article itself offers a history of fable and of Aesop before telling WL, FC, TH, "The Angler and the Little Fish," WC, FS, and FG. Each of these has a moral, several of which are surprising to me. The moral of TH is "Up and be doing"; of FC "Fools stand in slippery places"; and of FG "Tis no use crying for the Moon." I am surprised that there is no discussion of the fable buttons themselves!
