- en_US This is a small book measuring just over 3 x4. It contains three stories: Brer Rabbit and the Bramble Patch, Brer Rabbit and the Well, and Brer Rabbit and the Peanut Patch. The illustrations are simple and clever. One of my favorites shows Brer Fox laughing over the interaction of Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby on 16. There is of course a fine play on being stuck up in this story! In the second story, a great illustration comes on 43: the rabbit in his bucket hits the water. The third story involves the trick by Brer Rabbit of talking Brer Bear into taking his place in Brer Fox's trap -- supposedly to earn a dollar a minute as a scarecrow. Good fun, well done!
