- Abstract
- en_US Here are twelve stories that are not really fables. They seem rather sentimental parables meant for the very young. The named characters, like Johnny Woodchuck, learn optimism, cooperation, and good cheer. An appeal to God plays an important part in the two stories that I read. There is one black-and-white pen sketch per story. The illustrations dress the animals up in human clothing. There is a T of C at the front. Originally sold by W.W. Stirman in Waco, TX.
