- Abstract
- en_US This story is new to me. I find it the least satisfactory of the twenty-eight books in the series so far. It lacks the kind of focus necessary for a fable; I would say that it lacks even the focus necessary for a good story. There is plenty of controversy on how to judge a year's racing winner when one takes all sorts of perspectives into account. For me the good issue pesented here never gets settled. Snail is somehow vindicated as coming in in second place and becoming a judge in next year's race.
