- Abstract
- en_US A standard reader including four fables. The end papers are written on, and some early and late pages have severe smudging. The Brahman, the Tiger, and the Six Judges (15) is well told as a drama; it has one illustration. From LaFontaine, we get FC in verse (23), translated by W.T.F. with an illustration. FS is told in prose (27). Later in the book is Emerson's The Mountain and the Squirrel (119). Each reading is introduced well and then followed by good questions.
