Abstract

en_US There are four very nice (water-color?) illustrations in this volume: FC (48), the bird wounded with a feather (88), GGE (192), and The Young Widow (224). The wounded bird and the widow are the best of these four. The wounded-bird illustration is particularly poignant because the hunters are dressed as aristocrats; they are hunting at best for fun. Many pages are uncut, but the illustrations are all accessible. Not listed in Bassy.
