Abstract

en_US I listed earlier a copy of the second impression of August, 1926. Now I have found a first impression, according to the note at the end saying that 2000 copies were made in September, 1925. This copy is in better condition than the copy I have of the second impression. There is a design of one larger and several smaller birds on the title-page and a repeated pattern that appears in a band above titles and in a smaller section at the end of each story. There are stains on the verso of the title-page and on the T of C's first page. The book is inscribed on January 29, 1926, and heavy initials V.B.S are pasted onto the front end-paper. I can only guess at when and where I found this book.
