Abstract: en_US This Giant Golden Book has ninety-two pages for twenty-three stories taken from Disney materials, especially Song of the South. The dialect is strong but easily handled. The art is vintage Disney. Stories I enjoyed and/or found new on this trip through included Brer Bear an de Bag Full of Turkeys (17), Doctor Rabbit Cures de King (19), Why de Cricket Fambly Lives in Chimbleys (23), How Craney-Crow Kept His Head (33), and Brer Rabbit's Money Machine (39). The observation of the crane in his new territory that all the birds here take off their heads at night is spectacular! Several pages are torn or folded. The spine is cracked and crumbling and has probably already been repaired once. Uncle Remus stories are always fun!
