- Abstract
- en_US I include this curious volume in my collection because of its use of Aesop, sometimes attributed and sometimes not, among the wide variety of material Topsell (1572-1675?) employs. Aesop is used for the descriptions of the ape, the bear, the fox, and the lion (twice). The most curious description in the book is of the lamia.
