Abstract

en_US This paperback contains eight animal stories about twenty to thirty pages in length. The book has an unusual feature: Turn it over and start from the back towards the middle and you will find a series of questions and exercises on each story, paginated in continuation from the end of the book itself. That the stories here have some contact with fables is clear in the exercises on the first story, Le Loup. The exercise mentions that the character Delphine has a sense of the wolf from La Fontaine's WL, and it quotes the fable in its entirety (196).
