Abstract: en_US Might this have been a gift distributed by the Obpacher publishing firm? Just before the first fable we read Unserer Generation neu geschenkt von der Offizin des Obpacher Buch- und Kunstverlages. It is labeled on the preceding page as a reproduction of the 1833 edition. So here are Speckter and Hey again. Somehow this copy seems to have come to Hatry through the Ott and Braunbarth bookstore in Bruchsal. Their bookmark is an even clearer sign of the book's age than the book itself. There is an afterword by Paul Hühnerfeld, titled Die Tiere sprechen zu uns.
