- Abstract
- en_US Here is an unusual find. There are many Rabier reprints. I have so many that I generally do not linger on them when they are offered. This edition turns out to be special. It is a limited, numbered (#31 of 10000) reprint done in 1999 of the 1982 reprint of Rabier's original full volume published in 1906. It has all the characteristics of that first 1906 publication. Thus there are 310 illustrations, 85 of them in color. There is the colored illustration of WL in the center of the red leather cover, surrounded by red, gold, and black. This copy includes, without notice that I can find, a full-page poster of FC (46) on heavier paper and without the page number. As I wrote of the original, favorite illustrations of mine include the title page, GA (1), OF (16), FS (20),"The Bitch and Her Companion" (32), "The Drunk and His Wife" (57), and "The Acorn and the Pumpkin" (212). T of C at the back.
