- Abstract
- en_US A dutiful dog keeps the wolves away from the farmer's sheep. The wolves hatch a plat to lure the dog away from the farm into freedom. He gives in and is led into a trap where the wolves kill him and have their way with the farmer's sheep. The stated moral is "Don't believe everything you hear. Decide for yourself what the right thing to do is." The publisher's symbol seems to be two purple heads reading an open red book. There is a page of vocabulary on the inside back cover, with a picture of all six books in the series on the back cover. The pamphlet is twelve pages long, about 7½" x 6¾".
