- Abstract
- en_US This traditional story is told in normal form. In this version, the farmer plants cotton, cotton that will eventually be woven as a net to catch the birds. The other birds do not listen to the swallow's wise warning. The stated moral is "to be open mind to listen the warning from a kindly person." The English editing of this story suffers from start to finish. The artist gives the farmer who has now netted the birds an animated smile of conquest! The outside front-cover has a symbol for Green Life publishing, and the inside front-cover repeats that along with a symbol for Green Ocean paper. The publisher's symbol seems to be two purple heads reading an open red book; that symbol appears three times. There is a page of vocabulary on the inside back cover, with a picture of all six books in the series on the back cover. The pamphlet is twelve pages long, about 7½" x 6¾".
