- Abstract
- en_US This paperback book brings us close to the simplest of fable books. Perhaps that fits with the fact that it is "Un aporte cultural de Zig Zag, Milkybar, Loncoleche, Amac y Megavisión." I suspect that it was a give-away with various products. It may also have served as a text for pupils. I find two surprises here. First, there are, as the opening T of C makes clear, four major divisions: Aesop, La Fontaine, Samaniego, and Iriarte. Why does the fourth not get mentioned on either the title-page or the front cover? The second surprise lies in the five black-and-white illustrations along the way. "Fox and Woodman" (17); "Rooster, Cat, and Young Mouse" (37); TB (55); FG (65); and "Two Rabbits" (81). Other than the T of C at the beginning, there is nothing before or after the fable texts. 94 pages.
