- Abstract
- en_US There are five stories in this 40-page pamphlet, with spirited colored illustrations on every page: "Fox and Eagle"; "Monkey and Fox"; CP; "Fox and Goat"; and DW. The first fable, about the fox bringing fire to get the eagle to surrender the stolen cub, takes some 13 pages. The second has the fox besting the monkey for kingship. In the cover story, the jug apparently needs to be tipped so that the crow -- or crows? -- can get water from it. Perhaps the last picture of the pamphlet is best: we see over the dog's shoulder as the wolf runs away. One of four pamphlets in a series. 5¼" x 7¾ ".
