- Abstract
- en_US This little (5¼" x 7½") book of 32 pages tells the stories of "The Golden Fish" and GA. The title and collection see these as "Pocket Fables." The pages are quite thick, and they are coming disengaged from the spine. In the first, which I do not consider a fable, the golden fish promises the couple a simple life and they accept. Having become rich, the complaining wife had wanted to be queen, and the fish had promised to give her what she deserved. That turned out to be getting reduced to their original poverty. GA is given a happy ending in which the grasshopper promises never to be lazy again. The illustrations are very similar to those in Tournesol's "La cigale et la fourmi" of 1992, also done by Busquets.
