Abstract: en_US Here is another curious find, like the previous finds in this "Le Fabuliste Averti" series, "Fablenchthi" and "Fablenmitaw." Norman is the language spoken in Normandy. What we have here is thirty of La Fontaine's fables presented each in two different ways. First comes a prose presentation in Norman. Then comes La Fontaine's standard text. Material at the end of the book's 168 pages include sections on conjugation, a glossary, and a T of C. As with all such ventures, it can be exciting for a "foreign" reader to catch the portion that he or she can understand in the different text. I have begun searching for the other three books in the series; one or two are available at very high prices. Saint-Clair is described on the title-page as a "Trouvère Normand."
