- Abstract
- en_US This little (3¾: x 4½") booklet of 20 pages is highly adapted from TMCM. Lilo makes the trip to the city because harvest time drives her away from the field she has enjoyed. She goes to a nearby house. She encounters the cat. Full of angst she hides. After she has escaped the cat, she meets Max who takes her to the Speisekammer. Lilo confesses that the good life here is not without danger. "Yes," Max answers, "but we have here the finest food." They spend a wonderful winter in the house together, especially in the kids' room. But the kids capture Lilo in a box and take her outside. It is spring now, and Lilo says it is just the right time for a trip into the wheatfield. Text and a few designs are on left-hand pages. Illustrations are on the right. Best of the endearing illustrations may be Lilo's bed in a shoe on 7.
