Abstract: en_US Nouvelle Édition, Ornée de cinquante-six gravures en taille-Douce d'après les dessins d'Oudry. I am surprised that this book is not in Bodemann. It is in wretched condition, without either cover or any covering for its spine. But the fifty-six full-page landscape illustrations after Oudry, including the frontispiece of Aesop and animals honoring La Fontaine, are intact and well done. One of my favorites is CW (58). Another is The Old Woman and the Two Servant-Girls (101). An illustration like DS (138) catches Oudry's tapestry-like work well, I think. This collection is perfect for preserving a book like this from destruction!
