Several outstanding exemplars remain from many student “creative projects” from courses on ancient literature and especially on fables. Here is one of the best. The text is by Walter Thornbury about 1870. The illustrations are delightful! It is such a pleasure to come back to them now (January, ’26)! I give a sample below the cover-page.
