- Abstract
- en_US Twenty stories, copiously illustrated with small black-and-white designs. I have read the first five. TH is told in a standard story form, in which a succession of look-alike turtles chide the racing hare at every signpost. Hare supposedly cleans lion’s tail of fleas but is secretly burying it in the ground. Hare tricks the baboons in revenge for their trick on him. Hare tricks bear in revenge by getting bees into his blanket. Hare saves a man from a lion by distracting the lion to pursue him for his boasting. I find the stories enjoyable, tight, fun.
