Abstract

This is Volume 2 of 6 volumes, 3¾" x 5¾", comprising Books III and IV. There is nothing here beyond the fables. The illustrations are numbered #47 through #96. There are several sets of more than one illustration to a single fable, starting with six illustrations for MSA! The best of these may be the first, showing the two humans carrying the animal on a pole. Another fable with multiple illustrations is "The Cat and the Old Rat, with two (3). Further good illustrations are FG (21); "The Weasel in the Granary" (29); and FM (53). The seller notes the beauty of the binding with comments I quote under the first volume of the six.
