This is a large format (9¼" x 12¼") portfolio with eight pages of text and notation presenting La Fontaine's fable of TH for two voices. I find it curious that the cover-page advertises this music for "Couvents, Pensionnats, Collèges." Is there something particularly religious about this music, other than that the vocal score was written by a member of the Marist order? The inside front cover and outside back cover are filled with further music available from this publisher. My, fables do get around!
