Van Dam here offers "New Dutch Rhymes" and Hendriks wood engravings. The book is a lively find from my first bookfinding in Antwerp. Among the engravings I am particularly impressed with the first, showing a monk copying or creating a text (6), and the last, the classic scene of a kneeling Reynard being blessed as a pilgrim (111). There are ten such full-page wood engravings. 127 pages. 7¼" x 10½". The only online reference I find to the book shows a cover image of Reynard's face, not found here. Perhaps it belongs to a paperbound version other than this hardbound copy.
