Here is a paperback version of a hardbound book already in the collection. I admit that I bought it because of its cover, a delightful portrail of MSA's scene of the boy riding and the father struggling. I was first surprised to find out that that is the only illustration in the book. I was next surprised to find the hardbound version already in the collection. As I wrote 31 years ago, this is bare-bones LaFontaine! No notes, no editor, no fable numbers (but there are books!), and no introductory material. AI at the rear. Though the book is only selected fables, it seems to cover a lot of ground.
