Our collection already contains two Klingspor calendars. Here is a surprising third. The covers walk through a rhyme of the months, with seven appropriate symbols for each month. Those same symbols surround the material of the next 25 pages, that is, the title-page and two pages for each month. The month pages contain a date, day of the week, and saint for each day. There follow ten pages of Lessing’s fables, with a single colored symbol for most of the 18 fables. The fables are typical of Lessing’s sharp wit. This is a very pretty little book!
