Abstract

Here is a mid-sized pamphlet of some 32 pages. Big print helps to make this story book easier to read. Print and pictures are carefully strategized to make this engaging story even more readable and attractive. From the start, Brer Rabbit shows that he can outwit Brer Fox's attempts to catch him. "He fixes up something that looks like a boy." Brer Rabbit passes by and says "Howdy, Mr. Boy!" The illustrations of his "bopping" and kicking are especially well done. "Boil me, hang me, drown me, skin me, but please, PLEASE don't throw me in that brier patch!" Brer Fox pulls him free and throws him. "This is the place I was born!"
