This is a wonderful album offering 30 pairs of pages, each for a single fable. The left-hand page offers the French text and the six paper slips of illustrations of the fable. The slips came of course with pieces of chocolate from Clovis. They are arranged differently for various fables. The right hand page offers the Dutch text and a line drawing to color. Albert sought out several missing slips and provided them. We are still missing #64 from "The Swallow and Small Birds" and #105 for 2P. Favorites of mine include FS (#25-30), particularly the last image of the chagrined fox heading home. Also good are TMCM (#55-60) and OF (#175-180). FK seems to be envisioned differently here, including a plump and pleased frog who is king (#170). See this same book listed under "Albums" in the area of "Cards."
