Six fables on fourteen pages enclosed by canvas and illustrated boards. FG is on both covers: colored on the front and blue monochrome on the back. Inside the distinguishing characteristic of this illustration style is the light lime-colored background for the six monochrome designs. Of these, the FG design matches that on the back cover, while the front cover's fox rests his paws on a fence beneath the grapes. The face of the lion on 13 is less than successful. Of course "2me Série" makes me want to find the first series. Trying to find data on the date of this publication can take a researcher on a long trip through Casterman's history, which began in 1790. Casterman has published a number of fine La Fontaine editions over the past few generations.
