This unusual pamphlet of 12 pages has three chromolithographic cameo scenes on its cover, apparently not fable scenes. There is no title-page. The cover serves to give the title, series, and publisher. Inside, this large-format (7½" x 11¼") booklet offers four chromolithographs per page on each of six pages, with the verso of each picture page giving the four prose texts corresponding to those images. It is almost as though this booklet publishes the twenty-four cards of some set of trade cards. I recognize one match between an image in this book and a card in our collection: a trade card advertising Johnston's Corn Flour in about 1905.
