Abstract

en_US The lovely little Aesop booklet includes thirty-nine of Crane's classic fables in very small format. The booklet and its five mates measure slightly more than 3.5 by 3. Each of the six booklets has a particular slot in the heavy-board triptych that unfolds as the cupboard. The colors in Crane's work are surprisingly well reproduced. I used this booklet for comparison as I made my way through L.J. Linton at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
